Our EPD Division is currently looking to fill the following positions in both Santa Monica and Irvine:
Senior/Principal Planners - Requirements for the Senior Planner/Principal Planner positions include a minimum of 5 years experience preparing and managing environmental documents, advanced analytical writing and communication skills, and a degree in planning or a related discipline. Strong management and interpersonal skills are essential. (Masters Degree preferred).
Planners - Candidates for the Planner position must have strong analytical, writing and communication skills, 3 years experience preparing environmental documents, and a Bachelors Degree in a planning or related discipline (Masters Degree a plus).
Air Quality Services
Our Air Quality Services Division is currently looking to fill the following positions in our Pasadena, Santa Monica, or Irvine offices:
Senior Air Quality Engineer/Scientist - A senior air quality professional to manage and perform technical studies in support of complex compliance and permitting projects. Requirements for this position include at least 8 years of experience preparing permit application packages, negotiating permits conditions with the SCAQMD and other agencies, preparing periodic reports (AER, RECLAIM, etc.), conducting compliance audits, and responding to NOVs, breakdowns, etc. Ideal candidate must posses advanced analytical, writing, marketing, and communication skills, and demonstrate mastery of SCAQMD rules and procedures. The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering or environmental sciences (Master’s degree preferred) and professional registration (EIT, P.E., CPP). Strong management and mentoring skills are essential.
Senior Air Quality Scientist/Analyst - An air quality professional to manage and perform technical studies in support of industrial, infrastructure, and large-scale land use development projects. Responsibilities include preparation of CEQA/NEPA documentation, emission inventories, including greenhouse gases (GHG), pollutant concentration analysis, and health risk assessments (HRA). Requirements for this position include at least 8 years of experience preparing and managing complex environmental documents, advanced analytical, writing, and communication skills, and a degree in engineering or environmental sciences (Master’s degree preferred). Strong management and mentoring skills are essential. Professional registration (EIT, P.E., CPP) is preferable.
Engineer/Scientist - An environmental professional with 4 to 8 years of experience in conducting complex air quality analyses in support of CEQA/NEPA projects, special studies, and compliance issues. Candidates must have proven mastery of SCAQMD CEQA guidelines, including LST and HRA methodologies, and mobile and stationary source emission calculations. The ideal candidate will have stationary source compliance experience, excellent leadership, mathematical, computer, and communication skills, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science/engineering or related discipline (chemical or mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, or atmospheric sciences). Professional registration (EIT, P.E., CPP) is desirable.

Cultural Resources Management
Our Cultural Resources Management Division is currently looking to fill the following positions in our Santa Monica and Irvine locations:
Architectural History and Historic Preservation
Historians / Architectural Historians / Historic Architects - PCR is seeking capable, energetic full-time historians, architectural historians, or historic architects to join our expanding, fast-moving team. Primary duties will involve research, architectural analysis and writing. Candidates must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualification Standards in history, architectural history, architecture, or historic architecture. A graduate degree or a Bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience is required. The applicant must have a good working knowledge of American architecture, and be able to write well and communicate effectively. Familiarity with historic preservation legislation and the compliance process is desired. Writing sample required with application. Salary commensurate with experience.
Our architectural historians conduct a full range of significant historic resources investigations including surveys, HABS/HAER/HALS recordations, and adaptive reuse/rehabilitation projects in Southern California and the Southwestern United States.
Archaeological and Paleontological Resources
Archaeological & Paleontological Technician - Applicants who have been cross-trained as archaeology and paleontology monitors are preferred. Ideal candidates will have experience in southern California archaeology and paleontology, working with Native American groups, archaeological excavation and survey, and construction monitoring. Must be task-oriented and have the ability to work in both group and individual settings. Excellent communication and documentation skills are required. Archaeological technicians must be physically fit, willing to travel, able to lift up to 30 pounds, able to perform all aspects of archaeological field work, and work effectively in adverse weather conditions. Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, Geology or related area of study and have two to four years archaeological and/or paleontological field experience. Archaeological and Paleontological Technicians will be initially employed on a temporary, project-to-project basis. Salary is commensurate with experience and industry standards. PCR provides per diem and mileage reimbursement on a project-specific basis.
