PCR prepared a noise technical study for the Lacy Park Tennis Courts. The applicant has proposed the installation of 24 light fixtures that would extend the hours of court use which carries the potential for new noise impacts both from the participants as well as the lights themselves. Given the proximity of single family housing, and the potential controversy by concerned neighbors, PCR conducted a noise study to measure the potential effects of the installation. PCR acoustical engineers conducted ambient noise monitoring in the vicinity, tennis activity noise levels, and identified potential construction-related impacts. Based on the results of the survey, PCR’s acoustical engineers developed mitigation recommendations that would ensure the potential noise level associated with construction activities remained below the City’s established threshold. |
